Maria is a classical musician, and a painter. She founded Divine Madness, a group for highly creative people and intelligent people. I was honored to be accepted to that group, especially since there is such a wealth of talent there, painters like Maria, and find poets such as Heinz Ross, Tom Hally, and many more. The theme of the group seems to be, in many ways, spiritual quest, philosophy, and discussions about creative expression. I am happy to showcase Maria's art work, it is work I have noticed several times on the Internet. Some of these works used here as samples, were taken from Lulu with Maria's permission. A link is provided below to her lulu site. Currently she is working on a revamping of her website...and that link when it is done, will be placed here. A sample of Maria's musicianship, download a free mp3 of her interpretation of a paganini piece, when I first heard it, I thought it was two flutes, I was amazed when I found out it was just one, in fact, I was amazed when I was convinced it was two. I played it for my wife and kids, jaws dropped.
For a comprehensive list of her creative works go here: Note to Maria: Thanks Maria for allowing us to showcase your work here, and for inviting us to DM, and CGS, I have seen so much fine work by yourself and others there, that I am a little humbled by it. Those artists have inspired me to rethink my starndards. I hope that the work I do for indies, helps to sustain them in their work eventually.
Diamonds light up the world with their brilliance. They last forever and, despite their elegant appearance, are harder than rock. But they do not start out that way; Initially, they are rough and inconspicuous. Their beauty is hidden. To bring it out, the diamond has to be polished. - Paul Cooijmans , on the subject of genius. |
