William F. Buckley was one of a kind. An author, lecturer, TV host, spy novelist, former CIA agent, conservative political icon, and very much the an originator of the intellectual foundation for American conservatism.

In his early life he wrote a book called, "Of God and Man at Yale." in which he criticized his professors at Yale, for their biased left leaning views, and anti religiosity in a school that was once deeply rooted in religious tradition.

Here he writes and recites an essay argument to answer  the anti religious intellectuals. This  recited essay stands in opposition to similar essays expressing the contrary atheistic points of view - such as  Bertrand Russell's "Why I am not a Christian."  It is an answer to dialectical materialism.

He is/ will be sorely missed  -as we now don't hear his voice to argue intelligent opposition to the current deviant socialism - which has taken opportunistic  deep root in America. But he still remains a conservative the lodestar of high level reasoning: evidenced in his his writings, books, and firing line tapes... A good source to read his  musings is his authobiography: "Miles gone by" which is a collection of essays written over many years, describing his early family life, his passions (skiing and sailing) , and his polical views. We will miss him, but thank God for his recorded legacy. In the video below you can also select from a number of notable videos from his debate with Ronald Regan to his famous Gore vidal debate..in which vidal dares call Buckley a "cryptonazi," note Buckley's response,,,or watch the much more civilized exchange between himself and the leftist, to the Norm Chomsky debates.
